Under normal circumstances, Christ Church buzzes over the summer with camps of all sorts, with crowds of kids singing, dancing, learning, playing, and praying together.  This summer will likely look a little different, as we seek to gather in the safest ways possible.

As noted below, we have made the difficult decision to cancel VBS, which is our largest summer gathering (usually about 400 people including volunteers).  But because our kids need to practice love of self, neighbor, and God now more than ever, we are excited to introduce Love First at Home, Sundays beginning on May 3rd.

Our other wonderful summer camps are generally much smaller gatherings.  We are closely assessing the safety of gatherings as advised by the CDC and local authorities, and will contact registered participants individually by email as decisions are made about each camp.  Our first priority will always be the safety of our campers and our community.

More information and registration instructions can be found below.

Vacation Bible School is now LOVE FIRST AT HOME

Love First.  We need it now more than ever.

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Love First VBS 2020, which was planned for June 22-26, in order to protect our campers and our community. But because our mission remains, we are excited to announce Love First at Home, Sundays beginning May 3rd!

Love First at Home will meet online every Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. beginning on May 3rd, and will continue online as long as we are worshiping from home. Please note the slightly earlier start time than our traditional Sunday School.

Just like VBS, Love First at Home is open to all.  Together we’ll explore what it means to LOVE FIRST:

Love Self: All people are lovable in the eyes of God, no exceptions.
Love Neighbor: I am called to love and care for people in need.
Love God: I can see and feel God’s love in my life.
