Holy week takes us on a spiritual journey which begins with Palm Sunday and culminates in the celebration of resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday, April 14

Holy Week begins with the Reading of the Passion and Blessing of the Palms.

Monday, April 15

Noonday Contemplative Service
12:00 Noon, Cooper Chapel
This service follows the form of Noonday prayer from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) including the Litany of Thanksgiving, and a litany of healing to pray for those on the parish prayer list. We will also reserve time for silent prayer, reading, or meditation.

The Great Litany
5:00 p.m.  Cooper Chapel
An ancient prayer of the Christian Church which both offers ourselves to God and asks God to bless our lives. There will be space for silent reflection between the Great Litany and the Eucharist. This service is led by one of the clergy and is in the Book of Common Prayer.

Maundy Thursday, April 18

Agape Meal and Foot Washing for Families
5:30 p.m., Contemporary Worship Center
Families are invited to this child-friendly Eucharist service, including a meal of cheese, olives, fruit and bread and the traditional foot washing.

Holy Eucharist for Maundy Thursday with Foot Washing
7:00 p.m., Christ Church Sanctuary
As we follow Jesus’ path to the Cross we remember the Last Supper with his disciples and Jesus’ commission to a servant life as he washed their feet in John 13. The Eucharist this evening is especially poignant as we remember Jesus celebrating his Last Supper with His disciples. After the service we process to the Garden to remember Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The Night Watch

After the service we will process to the Garden to remember Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and join with the Disciples in a sleepy watch through the night. You may call the office (285-6127) or use this form to sign up for the Night Watch.

Good Friday, April 19

Stations of the Cross
12 noon, Christ Church
We walk with Jesus through the events of his crucifixion, moving through fourteen stations representing his journey. Each has a prayer and reflection. The service concludes with additional prayers.

Children’s Good Friday Service
5:30 p.m., Contemporary Worship Center
This child-friendly Good Friday service includes an interactive Children’s Stations of the Cross.

Good Friday Evening Service
7:00 p.m., Christ Church
We will use the Prayer Book liturgy for Good Friday in this quiet, sung service. This is a reflective way to end Good Friday as we approach the Great Silence of Holy Saturday.
