The Famine of Prosperity
October 5, 2017
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Presented by the Center for Study and Exploration
Instructor: Anthony Britton, USAF, retired; pastor; counselor
“The wealth of a soul is measured by how much it can feel its poverty.”
– William R. Alger
This course will explore the definition of prosperity; the resolute spirit in acquiring prosperity; and the gratefulness of the rewards. It will also examine the “famine of prosperity,” the void, the cost created because of the huge sacrifice made along the way. This course will look at how to safeguard the truest form of prosperity and ‘fix the famine”: the emotional, mental, and spiritual costs. Its purpose is bringing the cost back to a return by living the spiritual principles and restoring oneself and one’s prosperity to its truest form, to wholeness.
The course isn’t about money or money management. It is about the lost time, the distractions of life, the unrealized pain, things that get us off course in our relationships with our God, our relationships with each other, and with ourselves as we plugged away at becoming prosperous. The goal is to bring that “cost” back to us in the form of a “return” by use of the spiritual principles, etc.
