ICARE will host its annual Nehemiah Assembly via Zoom on Monday, March 28 beginning at 6:45 pm. You may join from your home or come join the Christ Church Justice Ministry gathering in the Westbury Hall dining room. A light supper will be provided beginning at 6 pm. After completing our process of listening to local people to find their key concerns and doing research with experts to identify best solutions for those concerns, we are now ready to complete our process by meeting with local leaders to ask for their commitment to bring needed changes for the common good of our community.

Key issues to be addressed include:

• Adult civil citations for minor offenses to keep people from being incarcerated and having a record.
• Crisis Intervention Team program to help law enforcement in dealing with difficult mental health calls.
• Violence intervention program to strengthen the community partnership needed to reduce violent crime.
• Care for creation—how to mitigate the damage being done to our environment, with a special focus on water.
