Prayer and Spirituality

Prayer is, simply, talking with God. Our prayer is a conversation which we are invited to cultivate throughout our lives. As with our human conversations, Prayer can take many forms. Sometimes we chatter on, sometimes we sit quietly. We might write letters or make gifts. Both our words and actions, when directed towards God, are prayer.

“Fill every part of me with praise, let all my being speak of you and of your love O Lord.” This line from a 19th Century hymn reflects the ultimate prayer in a Christian life – that all our thoughts and actions, words and desires become bound up in a seamless offering to God, our maker and creator.
