Choirs & Music Groups

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir leads the congregation in hymn singing, anthems and singing the liturgy for the 11:15 a.m. worship services and for special events, concerts, and services throughout the year.  All ages from High School on up are welcome to sing with this choir, which is made up of professional and volunteer singers, and student scholars.  The Chancel Choir sings a broad variety of musical styles and genres. In 2018 the choir was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall for the Kings Singers reunion under the baton of two international conductors, Bob Chilcott and Simon Carrington. The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m., and on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.  Please contact Rachel Root, for more information.

Young Voices of Praise

This PreK-Kindergarten choir is the perfect opportunity for children to begin to learn the basic musical foundations, playing instruments, music and movement,  music theory games, and singing with friends, while having a lot of fun too! This choir sings once a month for our 9 a.m. church service, and occasionally for other services as well.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is for grades 1-3. They sing songs, play musical games, and learn a lot about singing!  This choir puts their singing and music reading skills into good practice by singing once a month for our 9 a.m. worship service.  They also occasionally sing for our Jordan service.

Youth Choir

This choir for youth grades 4-8 is a great opportunity to not only deepen one’s understanding of music singing and vocal techniques, but also to have fun with friends. The Youth Choir sings and leads the liturgy for the 9 a.m. worship services, and also during the year for special events, concerts, fun outings, and occasionally for the Jordan services.

Mallory EpiscoBells Choir

The Mallory EpiscoBells Handbell Choir consists of a team of 11-15 ringers. Under the direction of Tim Root, they play for church services and concerts in our community. The repertoire consists of sacred (Messiah, traditional hymns) and secular music (holiday favorites, military hymns/anthems, popular hits and movie theme songs). It is a great opportunity to grow both musically and spiritually. High school and adults are welcome. Support and training is provided. Contact Tim Root
