The Rev. Richard S. Westbury, Jr., Rector, was born and raised in North Florida. Now living in Ponte Vedra Beach, he and his wife, Carole, have two children, Richard and Katie. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1981, a Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Illinois, and was ordained to priesthood in 1989. From 1989 through 1991, The Rev. Westbury served at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea, and became Rector of St. Paul’s Church in Jacksonville in 1992. The Rev. Westbury was called to Christ Episcopal Church as the Rector’s Associate in 2001 and has served as Rector since 2005.

The Rev. Thomas P. Reeder, Senior Associate Rector, is a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He spent nearly nine years on active duty in the U.S. Navy before discerning a call to ordained ministry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Divinity degree from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. After being ordained in 2003, his first pastoral call was as Associate Rector and later as Priest-in-Charge of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida. In September 2005, he was called to be the Priest-in-Charge of Christ Church in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. A year later he was installed as the 27th rector of that church. Tom and his wife DeeAnn, have two adult children, Sophia and Liam. Tom leads the Stewardship, Outreach and Mission ministries at Christ Church.

The Rev. Caroline Kramer, Associate Rector for Spirituality, Evangelism and Traditional Worship, grew up in England, received her Ministry Degree from Oxford University in 1998 and was ordained the same year. She also has a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership from St. Mellitus College in London. She served churches in The Dioceses of Guildford, Southwestern Virginia, Virginia and Oxford, before coming to Florida in 2013. The Rev. Remington Slone, Associate Rector for Formation and Contemporary Worship, grew up in southeast Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Remington graduated cum laude from the General Theological Seminary in 2011, with a concentration in Biblical Studies. While in seminary he served at St. Mary the Virgin in Times Square as both a lay person and as a Deacon. After seminary, he returned to the Diocese of Georgia as the Assistant Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Savannah, Georgia. Remington and his wife, Casey, have two daughters.

The Rev. Jessica Harris Babcock, Associate Rector for Pastoral Care and Outreach, is a native of Anniston, Alabama and a cradle Episcopalian. She comes to us from Christ Episcopal Church in Pensacola, Florida where she championed their pastoral care and community outreach ministries. She holds a M.Div. from Sewanee, a M.S. in Education from Georgia State University and a B.A. in English from The Centre College of Kentucky.
Prior to seminary Jessica spent 22 years working in the technology and real estate sectors of corporate America. She and her husband Dwight met while serving in the Peace Corps in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, North Pacific. Married for over 25 years, they have two college-age daughters, Emory, who attends Tulane University and Adelaide, who attends Sewanee.

The Rev. Wendy Billingslea, Chaplain, grew up in New Jersey, and graduated from Wells College in upstate New York with a major in Theatre and English. She graduated from Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas and was ordained a priest in 1997. She served as Associate Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish in Miami, Florida, and as Rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. In 2009, she came to Christ Church as an Associate Rector. She is currently serving as our interim Pastoral Care Associate, responsible for the management of volunteer lay ministries and Singles Ministry, and is active in the development of a Center for Spirituality.
