“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
~ Matthew 25:40
Since 1994, the Christ Church Charitable Foundation has provided financial assistance to students with high character and potential who otherwise might not be able to afford a college education. This year the Foundation awarded Four Year Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarships to Tyler Bennie and Daniela Suarez.
Tyler graduated from Nease High School this spring and started his studies at University of South Florida in August, where he selected Marine Biology as his major. He hopes to one day build a career in aviation as a pilot. Tyler is an Eagle Scout, an elite volleyball player and enjoys performing arts. He is a member of Christ Church, along with his mother and two brothers.
Daniela graduated from Episcopal High School in May, where she distinguished herself in academics, spirit of service and participation in athletics. She is enrolled at UNF, majoring in Biology. Her career aspiration is to become a dermatologist and provide medical services to low-income families. She is a first-generation college student and attends Holy Rosary Church in Jacksonville along with her brother, mom and dad.
