 July 6 - Author Phyllis Tickle joins Christ Church as guest preacher. Phyllis Tickle, author and prominent preacher and speaker, will be our guest preacher on Sunday, July 6 at all the morning worship services in the church. An Episcopalian from Tennessee with an intellect matched only by her sense of humor, Tickle has served as Religion Editor for Publisher Weekly magazine. Today, she serves as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Reader in her parish and is an engaging and sought after preacher and speaker. Her work on religion and spirituality is frequently cited in all major media sources. Among her two dozen books: My Father's Prayer: A Remembrance, Re-Discovering the Sacred: Spirituality in America, God-Talk in America, The Divine Hours, and her latest, Prayer is a Place.
