Fellowship & Service Ministries
Christ Church invites you to join us in one of many fellowship events. For additional fellowship information, please contact The Rev. Art Class - Artists and aspiring artists receive encouragement through meditation, painting and sharing with other artists.Resumes in September. Episcopal Church Women (ECW) - Women meet for fellowship and spiritual enrichment. Family Camping Weekend - Singles and families spend a weekend outdoors, form some strong friendships, and celebrate God's great and wonderous world together. The trips are open to all parishioners and usually take place during October or November. Family Connections - A ministry to families with children at home, the Christ Church Family Connections ministry holds monthly events, alternating with events for "parents only"and ones to include children. The goal of Christ Church Family Connections is to strengthen the bond among families within the Church. Family Connections welcomes a diverse group of families and parents - married or single, with children of all ages at home - to share in our goal of bringing people together in faith and fun. We recognize that all families with children at home struggle to balance the demands of work and home, and still make time for faith, recreation, and everything else of importance to us. We especially welcome parents who may not normally participate in Church activities, but appreciate the value of time spent appealing to parents who are all at a similar stage of life. Family Connections will host activities, often on the last Friday of the month. Click here for upcoming events. Nursery - In support of the Family Connections mission, Christ Church will make the nursery available for all parents-only events. Use of the nursery requires advance registration and a donation of $15.00 per family is requested. Because many of our events are during the dinner hour, we also recommend a $5 contribution per family for pizza if your children will be using the nursery. Click here for more information on the nursery. Joining the Family Connection email list - Since many families with children at home struggle with the time demands of work and family, Family Connections relies heavily on email for communication about our events. We encourage all interested families to email Kristi and Mike Koerner at kikimiko@bellsouth.net or Darren and Gennifer Mace at dmace@momentusconsulting.com so that we can add your family's email address to our ever-growing address book for invitations to our events. You may also contact the church office at 285-6127 for more information.
