Since 1955, Christ Episcopal Church Preschool and Kindergarten has been committed to providing exemplary early education in a warm, loving Christian environment. A sensitive, dedicated staff carefully designs and implements programs that nurture the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development of the child. The curriculum follows a developmental, multi-sensory approach to learning. Each child's unique position on the developmental ladder is nurtured through opportunities of meaningful play. Challenging materials and activities are introduced, thus enhancing the way for reading, writing and math readiness skills. The small student/teacher ratio, well-equipped classrooms and an educated, experienced staff promote a stimulating and fun learning environment. Religious instruction is an integral part of the preschool's curriculum, thus promoting each child's spiritual growth and character development. Each week, students gather for chapel, singing and praying together, experiencing the joy of corporate worship. Enrichment programs are provided in the following areas: Computer, Foreign Language, Library, Art, Cooking and Music and Movement. An Extended Day Program is also available, Monday through Friday, from noon to 4:00 p.m. Note: See "After School" for additional extended hours. Christ Episcopal Church Preschool and Kindergarten is accredited by the Florida Kindergarten Council, the Board of Regents/Episcopal Diocese of Florida and is licensed by the State of Florida Department of Families and Children. All students are accepted regardless of race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Morning and afternoon programs are available for students 21/2 through 6 years old.
