other pastoral care

In addition to the various ministries of Christ Church Cares, there are other pastoral resource ministries staffed by Christ Church parishioners. They include:

Cancer Support Network Ministry – A network of cancer survivors who offer support and encouragement to newly diagnosed men and women and their families.

Career Transition Ministry – Gifted and experienced professionals who periodically offer workshops designed to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support for those who are unemployed, under-employed, or less-than-happily employed.

Celebration Ministry – Compassionate individuals who provide simple receptions for bereaved families and friends following funerals or memorial services.

Evolving Families Ministry – Dedicated volunteers who support and encourage families who are expecting or adopting children, offering information on the liturgies of Thanksgiving for Birth or Adoption of a Child and Holy Baptism. Also, following births, these volunteers deliver “announcement angels” and/or meals to families’ homes.

Military Support Network Ministry – A network of parishioners who through personal contact and group gatherings offer support to families of active duty military who have been deployed abroad.

Periodic Pastoral Programming – Christ Church offers periodic programming addressing a variety of pastorally related topics: health, life transitions, grief, etc.
