Christian Formation is an integral part of our individual spiritual journeys and a significant piece of our lives together at Christ Episcopal Church.

“Our Life Together”
is our way of intentionally focusing our time together to grow as a parish family. Through this theme we will explore how important relationships are – our relationship first to God and then our relationship with one another.

Core Classes
Core Classes are those which provide a solid foundation on which our spiritual lives can flourish.

Companion Classes
These classes provide smaller group settings for parishioners to explore a variety of interest and topics that will stretch and grow their faith.

The coming year is sure to be an exciting one at Christ Episcopal Church especially as we share "Our Life Together". We are looking forward to the coming journey and being formed by Christ with you joining us.
Children's Formation
Building a sense of wonder and community for 3 year olds through 5th graders
children's formation

3 Year olds - 3 graders
Godly Play
Godly Play allows children to discover who God is instead of being told who God is. It responds to the child's request to "help me do it by myself". Teachers act as spirtual nurturers who fully accept that each child already has a relationship with God. Using multi-sensory materials, stories are presented as a mysterious gift. Children have time to "wonder" about the story verbally, using arts materials, or playing with the story pieces. The entire "lesson" follows the pattern of Christian worship.

4th & 5th Grades
Club 45
Children entering 4th and 5th grade are welcomed into the Club 45 Boys and Club 45 Girls program. The curriculum - "All Things New" is both child-focused and biblically based.

For more information on the Children's Formational offerings, contact Mary Pickett.
Youth Formation
Following in the way of Jesus.
youth formation

Middle SChool (6th - 8th grade)
Spice Rack Curriculum developed by Mark Devries is designed to get kids geared up for their day, their life, and the youth program. After announcements and snacks, kids will hear from a different leader each week and engage in activities that reveal how God is working in his or her own life or on how they can understand the messages found in pop-culture through the gospel.

High School (9th - 12th grade)
Welcome to Film School: We will be looking at today’s media through the Christian perspective and connecting the dots. We will watch video clips from popular movies and find out how these stories relate to our own lives and how the messages can help us to see the world through God’s eyes.

Contact Nathan Huddleston, Director of Youth Ministries for more information about Youth Formation and Youth Ministry.
