Worship at Christ Church encompasses a variety of styles, underpinned by the common thread of the language of the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer. With such a wide variety of services, you are certain to find a place where you feel comfortable, welcomed and inspired.
Early
Sunday 7:45 a.m. Ponte Vedra Church
This service uses the traditional language of the Episcopal Church, called Rite I. It connects us to the historic roots of the Anglican traditions and is enriched with time honored versions of worship music.
Sunday 8:00 a.m. San Pablo Church
A traditional service at a convenient time for early risers, using the Rite II language.
Wednesday 7:00 a.m. Ponte Vedra Chapel
Early risers have the opportunity to worship and still maintain your weekday schedule! Often times the Parishioners and Clergy enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant following worship!
Family Focused
Sunday 9:00 a.m. Ponte Vedra Church
We offer a family-focused worship service that uses the contemporary language of Rite II. This service also features a wide variety of musical styles, including a Children’s Choir, hand bells and alternative instrumentals. The highlight of this service is a special sermon for children.
Sunday 9:30 a.m. San Pablo Church
Our San Pablo families worship together using Rite II language. A featured pianist provides music and a children’s sermon is featured during the service.
Informal and Intimate
Sunday 9:00 a.m. Ponte Vedra Chapel
The comfort and serenity of our Chapel creates an intimate worship experience. This service embraces contemporary language that the Episcopal Church calls Rite II, enhanced with simple piano accompaniment.
Sunday 9:00 a.m. Serenata Beach
Overlooking the ocean in the Serenata Beach Club, this young worshipping community is causal in style but serious about outreach! As much as 70% of their offerings are redirected to five outreach partners in St. Johns County. This service uses Rite II language and fellowship before and after worship features wonderful breakfast delights.
Traditional
Sunday 11:15 a.m. Ponte Vedra Church
Our main Sunday service uses the Rite II language with a full music repertoire that makes this worship experience both powerful and beautiful.
Modern
Sunday 11:15 a.m. Ponte Vedra Parish Center, 2nd Floor
Experience, Participate, Imagine, Connect– EPIC is an alternative service for those who want to participate in a more modern style of worship. You will experience contemporary music, a fresh translation of ancient prayers and images throughout the service to help you connect to the scriptures.
Evening
Sunday 5:30 p.m. Ponte Vedra Church
This service uses Rite II language at an alternative worship time for busy lifestyles. Prayers of Healing are offered at the conclusion of worship.
Wednesday 5:30 p.m. Ponte Vedra Church
A convenient opportunity to worship at the end of your day prior to dinner in the Parish Center and our usual Wednesday evening formation (Christian Education) offerings each week. Watch for special worship styles during this time such as Taize, Jazz Eucharist, Celtic worship, and other experiences.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:00 p.m. Ponte Vedra Chapel
An informal prayer service is led by lay persons four evenings each week in the Chapel.
