The Rev. Richard S. Westbury, Jr., Rector, was born and raised in North Florida. Now living in Ponte Vedra Beach, he and his wife, Carole, have two children, Richard and Katie. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1981, a Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Illinois, and was ordained to priesthood in 1989. From 1989 through1991, The Rev. Westbury served at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea, and became Rector of St. Paul’s Church in Jacksonville in 1992. The Rev. Westbury was called to Christ Episcopal Church as the Rector’s Associate in 2001 and has served as Rector since 2005. The Rev. Richard S. The Rev. Robert (Bob) L. Morris, Associate Rector, Pastoral Care, has a Master of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York City. He was ordained in the Diocese of West Virginia in 1973. After ordination, he served a mission congregation in West Virginia before becoming a member of the Community of Celebration, a religious order fostering renewal in liturgy and worship. Over the next 16 years, Bob served as Chaplain at Community houses in England, Scotland and Pennsylvania. He joined the staff of Christ Church, Pittsburgh, in 1992 and was appointed Vicar of All Saints, Pittsburgh, in 1994. He was Associate Rector at St. Dunstan’s in Houston, Texas, from 1999-2004 and joined Christ Church, Ponte Vedra, in December 2004. He and his wife, Cathleen, have two grown daughters. The Rev. Justin Yawn, Associate Rector for Families, Youth and Young Adults, graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance. He attended seminary at The Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While attending Emory, he served three years as seminarian for Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur, Georgia, where he focused on developing the youth ministry and implemented a new Christian formation program for high school students. Before accepting the call to serve as an Associate Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Justin was Associate Rector at Trinity Episcopal Church and the campus minister at Georgia Southern University, where he helped restructure the ministry finances, complete a $15,000 fundraising campaign and develop a relationship-based ministry. The Rev. Greg Brown, Associate Rector of Worship and Christian Formation, joined Christ Episcopal Church from General Seminary in New York City. As Chief Sacristan of the seminary chapel, he was responsible for overseeing personnel, supplies and space for all the services, including the training of new volunteers. In addition, Greg had extensive church volunteer experience working in youth and young adult ministries, discernment ministry and volunteer coordination.
